A primary focus of my
research is how managers “do what they do” and, using those insights,
offer suggestions that can improve the lives of managers, customers,
consumers and society in general. Broadly, I am interested in:
Marketing Strategy and Implementation
Managerial Sense-Making of Markets
Managerial Decision Making
Organizational Change
Marketing Processes within Organizations
As such, I am always looking for organizations that
are willing to work with me. Generally, participation is anonymous and
participating organizations are masked with pseudonyms to protect their
anonymity. (In the case of my research on creating a market
orientation, the four very market-oriented companies generously allowed
me to publish their names.)
Participating organizations gain full access to
insights across firms and have the opportunity to not only see the
research as it develops, but the opportunity to shape it. For my
research on market-orientation, firms had access the results three
years before the research was published by MSI and the Journal of Marketing.
If you would like to find out more about participating
in some of my research, please contact me at researchparticipation@garyfgebhardt.com
I am currently seeking participating organizations for
three studies:
Pricing processes for consumer packaged goods (CPG)
Retailers/Grocers
CPG Manufacturers
CPG Information Brokers
Advertising decision-making
Any firms with significant advertising expenses in any
media
Advertising firms
Media companies that sell advertising
Pricing of ongoing/relational consumer services
Organizations that sell relational services to
consumers across multiple geographic markets (e.g., wireless carriers
and cable television)
